En 1964, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/condor-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1964\/\" title=\"Condor Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1964\">Condor Ltd<\/a><\/strong> se fait remarquer avec la mise en service de ses hydropt\u00e8res entre Saint-Malo et les \u00eeles Anglo-normandes. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur vitesse en pointe sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 30 n\u0153uds, ces navires divisent par deux le temps de travers\u00e9e. Cinq ans apr\u00e8s, la flotte s&rsquo;agrandira avec la mise en service d&rsquo;un second navire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le premier service de car-ferries breton est cr\u00e9e en janvier 1973, lorsque le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/03\/m-v-kerisnel-1973-1974-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Kerisnel (1973-1974) \u2013 Brittany Ferries\">M\/V Kerisnel<\/a><\/strong> de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\" title=\"Brittany Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1973\">Brittany Ferries<\/a><\/strong> appareille du port de Roscoff. Si l&rsquo;initiative port\u00e9e par des agriculteurs bretons est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e avec d\u00e9dain par les armateurs de l&rsquo;Est de la Manche, celle-ci devient rapidement un succ\u00e8s commercial. D\u00e8s 1974, <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> introduit son premier navire mixte, le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/02\/m-v-penn-ar-bed-1974-1984-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Penn-Ar-Bed (1974-1984) | Brittany Ferries\">M\/V Penn-ar-Bed<\/a><\/strong>. Trois ans apr\u00e8s sa cr\u00e9ation, la compagnie s&rsquo;\u00e9tend au port de Saint-Malo, pour laquelle elle acquiert le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/24\/m-v-armorique-1-1976-1992-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Armorique (1) (1976-1992) \u2013 Brittany Ferries\">M\/V Armorique<\/a><\/strong>. Les ann\u00e9es 1970 se concluent avec la cr\u00e9ation de deux lignes \u00e0 travers l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Atlantique, vers l&rsquo;Irlande et l&rsquo;Espagne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les premiers hydropt\u00e8res de Condor Ferries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les ann\u00e9es 1960 et 1970 sont celles des premiers ferries sur la Manche-Ouest. En mai 1964, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/condor-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1964\/\" title=\"Condor Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1964\">Condor<\/a><\/strong> introduit son premier hydropt\u00e8re \u00e0 grande-vitesse entre Saint-Malo et les \u00eeles Anglo-normandes : <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/27\/condor-1-1964-1976-condor-ltd\/\" title=\"Condor 1 (1964-1976) | Condor Ltd\">Condor 1<\/a><\/strong>.
