La flotte de la compagnie bretonne compte d\u00e9sormais quatre navires, qui peine \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande croissante des touristes, essentiellement britanniques. D\u00e8s 1980, la compagnie double ses fr\u00e9quences entre Saint-Malo &#8211; Portsmouth gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement du <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/25\/m-v-goelo-1980-1982-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Go\u00eblo (1980 \u2013 1982) | Brittany Ferries\">M\/V Go\u00eblo<\/a><\/strong>. Apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement avort\u00e9 du <strong>M\/V Tr\u00e9gor<\/strong> en 1981, <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> se dote en 1982 d&rsquo;un nouveau navire amiral pour les lignes Santander (Espagne) &#8211; Plymouth (Angleterre) et Roscoff (France) &#8211; Cork (Irlande), avec l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e en flotte du <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/25\/m-v-quiberon-1982-2002-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Quiberon (1982-2002) | Brittany Ferries\">M\/V Quiberon<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais les ann\u00e9es 1980 sont surtout marqu\u00e9es par l&rsquo;implantation de la compagnie bretonne en Normandie. 1986 est ainsi marqu\u00e9e par l&rsquo;acquisition de <strong>Truckline<\/strong>, qui op\u00e8re deux rouliers entre Cherbourg (France) et Poole (Angleterre), et la cr\u00e9ation de la ligne Ouistreham (France) &#8211; Portsmouth (Angleterre). Cette seconde compagnie, dont <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\" title=\"Brittany Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1973\">Brittany Ferries<\/a><\/strong> est l&rsquo;un des actionnaires, op\u00e8re ses premiers services en 1985. Rapidement, la compagnie s&rsquo;impose gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un produit centr\u00e9 sur l&rsquo;essentiel, \u00e0 l&rsquo;oppos\u00e9 des prestations premium propos\u00e9es par <strong>Sealink<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout au long des ann\u00e9es 1980, celle qui devient <strong>British Channel Island Ferries<\/strong> en 1986, cherche \u00e0 se doter d&rsquo;une flotte adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 ses besoins. des ann\u00e9es 1970, <strong>Condor<\/strong> aborde les ann\u00e9es 1980 avec la consolidation pour mot d&rsquo;ordre. En 1980, la compagnie exp\u00e9rimente un catamaran sur ses services Saint-Malo &#8211; \u00celes Anglo-normandes. Mais celui-ci se r\u00e9v\u00e8le peu adapt\u00e9, for\u00e7ant la compagnie \u00e0 r\u00e9investir dans un dernier hydropt\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 1986, <strong>Condor<\/strong> fait n\u00e9anmoins le pari de rallier Weymouth (Angleterre) avec ses vedettes. La cr\u00e9ation de cette nouvelle liaison marque le pr\u00e9lude des ann\u00e9es 1990, au cours desquelles <strong>Condor<\/strong>, alli\u00e9e \u00e0 <strong>Commodore<\/strong>, s&rsquo;accaparera
