En avril 1975, le ferry est affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\" title=\"Brittany Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1973\">Bretagne Angleterre Irlande SA<\/a><\/strong> (<strong>B.A.I. SA<\/strong> | <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong>) pour renforcer le service op\u00e9r\u00e9 par <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/02\/m-v-penn-ar-bed-1974-1984-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Penn-Ar-Bed (1974-1984) | Brittany Ferries\">Penn-Ar-Bed<\/a><\/strong> sur la ligne Roscoff &#8211; Plymouth. \u00c0 l&rsquo;issue de son affr\u00e8tement, la compagnie ne l\u00e8ve pas l&rsquo;option d&rsquo;achat qu&rsquo;elle avait sur le ferry, ses am\u00e9nagements passagers \u00e9tant trop sommaires. En revanche, elle commandera un ferry bas\u00e9 sur le m\u00eame plan, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/19\/m-v-cornouailles-1977-1989-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Cornouailles (1977-1989) \u2013 Brittany Ferries\">Cornouailles<\/a><\/strong>, mis en service en 1977.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Par la suite, l&rsquo;ex-<strong>Prince de Bretagne<\/strong> est allong\u00e9 en 1977 avant d&rsquo;\u00eatre transf\u00e9r\u00e9 vers la mer Adriatique o\u00f9 il sera affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par plusieurs armateurs au cours de sa carri\u00e8re. Durant le processus de construction, la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 du ferry est transf\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 <strong>Rederi Ab Nord\u00f6<\/strong>. <strong>Falster<\/strong> est lanc\u00e9 le 11 juillet 1974 et livr\u00e9 \u00e0 son propri\u00e9taire le 31 janvier 1975.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Falster<\/strong> r\u00e9alise sa travers\u00e9e inaugurale le 07 f\u00e9vrier 1975, entre les ports de Gedser (\u00cele de Falster, Danemark) et Travem\u00fcnde (Allemagne). Cependant, ce service est de courte dur\u00e9e. Durant l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 1973, le service est compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement de <strong>Pos\u00e9idon<\/strong>, un petit paquebot qui op\u00e8re trois rotations par semaine entre les deux ports. Apr\u00e8s des d\u00e9buts prometteurs, l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 1974 voit l&rsquo;introduction sur la ligne de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/02\/m-v-penn-ar-bed-1974-1984-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Penn-Ar-Bed (1974-1984) | Brittany Ferries\">Penn-Ar-Bed<\/a><\/strong>, un ferry construit pour cette ligne et qui peut accueillir simultan\u00e9ment des passagers et du fret \u00e0 son bord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le bilan de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 1974 est positif pour <strong>B.A.I. SA<\/strong>, qui annonce donc en avril 1975 l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement du <strong>Falster<\/strong> pour pouvoir proposer quatre travers\u00e9es quotidiennes entre les ports de Roscoff et Plymouth. SA<\/strong> d&rsquo;inaugurer un service primitif entre Saint-Malo et Plymouth \u00e0 compter de la mi-ao\u00fbt 1975, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 <strong>Penn-Ar-Bed<\/strong>. La ligne de Roscoff est alors exclusivement op\u00e9r\u00e9e par <strong>Prince de Bretagne<\/strong>. Cependant, \u00e0 l&rsquo;issue de son affr\u00e8tement, la <strong>B.A.I.<\/strong> d\u00e9cide de restituer <strong>Prince de Bretagne<\/strong> \u00e0 ses propri\u00e9taires. Cependant, ce service ne dure quelques mois. Il est en effet une nouvelle fois affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par l&rsquo;OTAN pour assurer du transport de mat\u00e9riel militaire entre l&rsquo;Europe, les \u00c9tats-Unis et le Nigeria \u00e0 la fin de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 1975. L&rsquo;ann\u00e9e suivante, il op\u00e8re des rotations entre l&rsquo;Europe du Nord et l&rsquo;Arabie Saoudite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, sa capacit\u00e9 est jug\u00e9e trop limit\u00e9e pour int\u00e9resser un affr\u00e9teur de mani\u00e8re p\u00e9renne. En f\u00e9vrier 1977, <strong>Falster<\/strong> est conduit aux chantiers <em>\u00d6resundsvartet<\/em> de Landskrona (Su\u00e8de) pour ins\u00e9rer une section de 21 m\u00e8tres au milieu du navire. L&rsquo;op\u00e9ration ne se d\u00e9roule pas comme pr\u00e9vu : alors que la partie avant du navire est d\u00e9plac\u00e9e pour ins\u00e9rer la nouvelle section centrale, elle chavire le 16 f\u00e9vrier 1977.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e9anmoins, le navire peut \u00eatre remis \u00e0 flot et l&rsquo;op\u00e9ration d&rsquo;allongement men\u00e9e \u00e0 bien. Il est n\u00e9anmoins renomm\u00e9 <strong>Tarek B<\/strong>. Le ferry est une nouvelle vois vendu en avril 1983, et renomm\u00e9 <strong>Atlas IV<\/strong>. Il est alors affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par Libra Maritime et op\u00e9r\u00e9 entre les ports de Patras (Gr\u00e8ce), Igoumen\u00edtsa (Gr\u00e8ce) et Bari (Italie).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Atlas IV<\/strong> est acquis par <strong>Corato Marine Co Ltd<\/strong> en 1986 qui le renomme <strong>Europa<\/strong>. <strong>Europa<\/strong> est affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par <strong>Hellenic Cypriot Mediterranean Lines<\/strong> entre Trieste (Italie), Igoumen\u00edtsa et Patras. En 1989, <strong>Europa<\/strong> est affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par <strong>Ventouris Ferries<\/strong> qui l&rsquo;engage sur sa ligne reliant Bari \u00e0 Patras. \u00c0 la faveur d&rsquo;un nouveau changement de main, le ferry change une nouvelle fois de main en 1990 pour devenir <strong>Vega<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En mars 2001, <strong>Vega<\/strong> est d\u00e9sarm\u00e9 dans la baie d&rsquo;Eleusis en Gr\u00e8ce, <strong>Ventouris Ferries<\/strong> n&rsquo;ayant pas renouvel\u00e9 son affr\u00e8tement ferry.
