Par la suite Giulia d&rsquo;Abundo, Abundo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Quiberon<\/strong> est un ferry mixte construit en 1981 sous le nom <strong>Nils Dacke<\/strong>. <strong>Quiberon<\/strong> est affr\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 compter de 1982 par <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\" title=\"Brittany Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1973\">Brittany Ferries<\/a><\/strong> pour offrir davantage de capacit\u00e9 sur les lignes Plymouth &#8211; Santander et Roscoff &#8211; Cork. En 1986, il est envisag\u00e9 de l&rsquo;allonger pour accro\u00eetre sa capacit\u00e9, mais la compagnie pr\u00e9f\u00e9ra au final lancer la construction du <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/05\/27\/m-v-bretagne\/\" title=\"M\/V Bretagne (1989 \u2013 2024) \u2013 Brittany Ferries\">Bretagne<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 partir de 1989, <strong>Quiberon<\/strong> est op\u00e9r\u00e9 sur la ligne Roscoff &#8211; Plymouth. Le service de <strong>Nils Dacke<\/strong> est prolong\u00e9 \u00e0 cette occasion jusqu&rsquo;au port d&rsquo;Helsingborg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quiberon, un nouveau ferry pour l&rsquo;Espagne<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En d\u00e9cembre 1980, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\" title=\"Brittany Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1973\">Brittany Ferries<\/a><\/strong> annonce vouloir affr\u00e9ter \u00e0 <strong>Fred Olsen<\/strong> le <strong>Bolero<\/strong>. En effet, \u00e0 peine deux ans apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;ouverture de la ligne Plymouth &#8211; Santander, cette derni\u00e8re conna\u00eet un succ\u00e8s fulgurant qui justifierait la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;un troisi\u00e8me aller-retour entre les deux ports. Cependant, l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement tombe \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau \u00e0 la derni\u00e8re minute. <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> se met alors en qu\u00eate d&rsquo;un ferry pour remplacer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/24\/m-v-armorique-1-1976-1992-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Armorique (1) (1976-1992) \u2013 Brittany Ferries\">Armorique<\/a><\/strong> pour l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 1982.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D\u00e9but 1982, <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> annonce ainsi l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement pour deux ans, assortis d&rsquo;une option d&rsquo;achat, de <strong>Nils Dacke<\/strong> pour op\u00e9rer les lignes Plymouth &#8211; Santander et Roscoff &#8211; Cork. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son tonnage un tiers plus important qu&rsquo;<strong>Armorique<\/strong>, ce nouveau ferry peut ainsi transporter 300 passagers et 80 voitures de plus que son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur. De plus, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa vitesse de pointe de 22,5 n\u0153uds, <strong>Nils Dacke<\/strong> pourrait r\u00e9duire la dur\u00e9e de la travers\u00e9e entre Plymouth et Santander de pr\u00e8s de deux heures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durant le mois de mai 1982, le ferry est envoy\u00e9 aux chantiers <em>Meyer Werft<\/em> de Papenburg pour \u00eatre refondu. Une partie des ponts garages est transform\u00e9 en cabines \u00e0 cette occasion. En effet <strong>Nils Dacke<\/strong> \u00e9tait op\u00e9r\u00e9 sur des lignes de jours, n\u00e9cessitant des am\u00e9nagements plus sommaires que les lignes traversant l&rsquo;Atlantique op\u00e9r\u00e9es par <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong>. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En octobre 2007, <strong>Giulia d&rsquo;Abundo<\/strong> est d\u00e9sarm\u00e9 dans le port de Naples. \u00c0 l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de 42 ans, le navire n&rsquo;int\u00e9resse plus aucun affr\u00e9teur et le navire reste d\u00e9sarm\u00e9 les \u00e9t\u00e9s suivants. Finalement, le ferry est renomm\u00e9 <strong>Abundo<\/strong> en mars 2003 et r\u00e9immatricul\u00e9 sous pavillon de Saint-Christophe-et-Ni\u00e9v\u00e8s.
