Apr\u00e8s la d\u00e9ception suscit\u00e9e par l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimentation du <strong>Condor 6<\/strong> durant l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 1980, la livraison de <strong>Condor 7<\/strong> signe le retour aux hydropt\u00e8res pour l&rsquo;armement guernesiais. Elle lui permet \u00e9galement de voir sa flotte repasser \u00e0 3 navires, alors que seuls <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/29\/condor-4-1973-1990-condor-ltd\/\" title=\"Condor 4 (1973-1990) | Condor Ltd\">Condor 4<\/a><\/strong> et <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/28\/condor-5-1976-1993-condor-ltd\/\" title=\"Condor 5 (1976 \u2013 1993) | Condor Ltd\">Condor 5<\/a><\/strong> assuraient le service entre Saint-Malo et les \u00celes Anglo-normandes depuis 1981.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Condor 7<\/strong> op\u00e8re sa premi\u00e8re travers\u00e9e entre les \u00celes Anglo-normandes le 16 mai 1985. En parall\u00e8le de la mise en service de ce troisi\u00e8me hydropt\u00e8re, <strong>Condor Ltd<\/strong> \u00e9tudie la mise en place d&rsquo;une nouvelle ligne entre Weymouth et les \u00eeles Anglo-normandes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le 30 septembre 1986, la gr\u00e8ve des salari\u00e9s de l&rsquo;armement <strong>Sealink<\/strong> contre la mise en place de la joint-venture avec Channel Island Ferries offre \u00e0 <strong>Condor<\/strong> l&rsquo;opportunit\u00e9 d&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimenter un tel service. En 18 jours, <strong>Condor 7<\/strong> transportera 18 000 passagers entre Weymouth et les \u00eeles Anglo-normandes. Cependant, les probl\u00e8mes de stabilit\u00e9 rencontr\u00e9s par le nouveau navire permettent \u00e0 <strong>Condor 7<\/strong> de prolonger son service sur la ligne de Weymouth. <strong>Condor 7<\/strong> op\u00e9rera ainsi la derni\u00e8re travers\u00e9e entre Weymouth et les \u00eeles Anglo-normandes le 7 avril 1991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durant l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 1991, <strong>Condor 7<\/strong> est bas\u00e9 dans les \u00eeles Anglo-normandes, qu&rsquo;il dessert en direction de Saint-Malo. Sa saison 1991 se conclue par une lourde avarie, lorsque <strong>Condor 7<\/strong> perd l&rsquo;une de ses h\u00e9lices. En cons\u00e9quence, l&rsquo;hydrofoil est d\u00e9sarm\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;au printemps 1992 pour \u00eatre r\u00e9par\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le service de <strong>Condor 7<\/strong> prend fin le 3 octobre 1993. <strong>Condor Ferries<\/strong> passe alors un accord avec le concurrent <strong>Channiland<\/strong> pour co-op\u00e9rer leurs services \u00e0 compter du printemps 1994, rendant <strong>Condor 7<\/strong> redondant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;hydropt\u00e8re est vendu en juillet 1994 \u00e0 l&rsquo;armement tanzanien <strong>Azam Marine Co<\/strong> et est emmen\u00e9 au Havre o\u00f9 il est charg\u00e9 sur le navire cargo <strong>Might Servant 3<\/strong> et export\u00e9 vers la Tanzanie.
