En effet, le lancement de la liaison Weymouth &#8211; Saint-Malo via les \u00celes Anglo-normandes s&rsquo;est fa\u00eete au d\u00e9triment des lignes existantes de la compagnie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Martinteknik<\/em> propose \u00e0 <strong>Condor Ltd<\/strong> l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement d&rsquo;un catamaran capable de transporter 406 passagers. Cependant, sa construction prend du retard et le chantier naval propose \u00e0 <strong>Condor<\/strong> l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement d&rsquo;un catamaran plus petit, en construction \u00e0 Singapour pour op\u00e9rer des services c\u00f4tiers en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Condor Ltd<\/strong> acquiert donc ce catamaran, le deuxi\u00e8me \u00e0 int\u00e9grer la flotte de l&rsquo;op\u00e9rateur apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimentation du <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/30\/condor-6-1980-condor-ltd\/\" title=\"Condor 6 (1980) | Condor Ltd\">Condor 6<\/a><\/strong> durant l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 1980. Nomm\u00e9 <strong>Condor 8<\/strong>, le navire est livr\u00e9 \u00e0 Saint-Pierre-Port le 11 mai 1988 et d\u00e9bute son service le 17 mai 1988. Pour la premi\u00e8re fois, <strong>Condor Ltd<\/strong> dispose d&rsquo;un navire capable d&rsquo;accoster \u00e0 Sercq. En cons\u00e9quence, le traversier <strong>Condor Kestrel<\/strong> est vendu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 1997, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/condor-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1964\/\" title=\"Condor Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1964\">Condor Ferries<\/a><\/strong> transfert sur la ligne Saint-Malo &#8211; \u00celes Anglo-normandes son catamaran perce-vague <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/02\/condor-9-1990-2002-condor-ferries\/\" title=\"Condor 9 (1990-2002) | Condor Ferries\">Condor 9<\/a><\/strong>. Cependant, alors que la compagnie est confront\u00e9e \u00e0 la concurrence men\u00e9e par <strong>\u00c9meraude Lines<\/strong>, la ligne se retrouve vite en super-capacit\u00e9. D\u00e8s-lors, <strong>Condor 8<\/strong> et <strong>Condor France<\/strong> se partagent les travers\u00e9es op\u00e9r\u00e9es en compl\u00e9ment des horaires de <strong>Condor 9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 1998, <strong>Condor Ferries<\/strong> pr\u00e9voit d&rsquo;introduire son premier car-ferry au d\u00e9part de Saint-Malo, proposant une travers\u00e9e quotidienne entre Guernesey et Saint-Malo. Cette nouvelle offre rend <strong>Condor 8<\/strong> redondant et il op\u00e8re donc sa derni\u00e8re travers\u00e9e pour <strong>Condor Ferries<\/strong> le 1er octobre 1997.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En novembre 1997, l&rsquo;ex-<strong>Condor 8<\/strong> est vendu \u00e0 <strong>Rainbow Fast Ferries<\/strong>. Renomm\u00e9 <strong>Waterways I<\/strong>, le catamaran est op\u00e9r\u00e9 sur les grands lacs en Am\u00e9rique jusqu&rsquo;en 2000. Deux ans plus tard, il est revendu \u00e0 <strong>Marinvest S.r.L.<\/strong> qui l&rsquo;engage sur le r\u00e9seau <strong>SNAV<\/strong> sous le nom <strong>SNAV Aries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Condor 8<\/strong> dispose d&rsquo;un sister-ship, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faktaomfartyg.se\/airone_jet_1988.htm\" title=\"\"><strong>Airone
