Il op\u00e8re cette ligne entre 1977 et 1984, lorsqu&rsquo;il est affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par la SNCF. <strong>Cornouailles<\/strong> revient dans le giron de <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> en 1986, pour ouvrir un service voyageur sur la ligne Cherbourg &#8211; Poole. En 1989, le ferry est renomm\u00e9 <strong>Havelet<\/strong> et affect\u00e9 \u00e0 la liaison entre la Grande-Bretagne et les \u00celes Anglo-normandes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2000, <strong>Havelet<\/strong> est revendu \u00e0 <strong>Prekookeanska Plovidbla<\/strong> qui l&rsquo;affecte \u00e0 la ligne Bar (Mont\u00e9n\u00e9gro) &#8211; Bari (Italie). L&rsquo;ex-<strong>Cornouailles<\/strong> sera d\u00e9moli en 2013 sur les plages d&rsquo;Aliaga (Turquie).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cornouailles<\/strong> porte le nom d&rsquo;une r\u00e9gion du Sud-Ouest de la Grande-Bretagne o\u00f9 est situ\u00e9e Plymouth. Cependant, la ligne Roscoff &#8211; Plymouth int\u00e9resse rapidement les passagers. Depuis l&rsquo;abandon de la ligne Saint-Malo &#8211; Southampton en 1964, cette nouvelle ligne est la premi\u00e8re \u00e0 relier la Bretagne \u00e0 l&rsquo;Angleterre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour la saison 1973, la <strong>BAI<\/strong> affr\u00e8te donc <strong>Poseidon<\/strong> et propose trois allers-retours hebdomadaires entre Roscoff et Plymouth pour les passagers. En parall\u00e8le, la compagnie fait construire <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/02\/m-v-penn-ar-bed-1974-1984-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Penn-Ar-Bed (1974-1984) | Brittany Ferries\">Penn-ar-Bed<\/a><\/strong> pour disposer d&rsquo;un navire proposant d&rsquo;une capacit\u00e9 plus importante pour les passagers. Le succ\u00e8s arrive rapidement et en 1975, <strong>BAI<\/strong> affr\u00e8te un second navire pour la ligne Roscoff &#8211; Plymouth, renomm\u00e9 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/22\/m-v-prince-de-bretagne-1975-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Prince de Bretagne (1975) | Brittany Ferries\">Prince de Bretagne<\/a><\/strong>. Collection Brittany Ferries<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La construction du ferry Cornouailles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Au terme de la saison 1975, la <strong>BAI<\/strong> d\u00e9cide de ne pas acqu\u00e9rir <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/22\/m-v-prince-de-bretagne-1975-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Prince de Bretagne (1975) | Brittany Ferries\">Prince de Bretagne<\/a><\/strong> dont la capacit\u00e9 passagers est jug\u00e9e trop limit\u00e9e. En revanche, satisfaite de ses performances, elle commande aux chantiers norv\u00e9giens de Trondheim un navire similaire, mais dot\u00e9 d&rsquo;am\u00e9nagements passagers plus spacieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durant la saison 1976, <strong>BAI<\/strong> affr\u00e8te <strong>Bonanza<\/strong> pour faire tandem avec <strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/02\/m-v-penn-ar-bed-1974-1984-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Penn-Ar-Bed (1974-1984) | Brittany Ferries\">Penn-ar-Bed<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> sur la ligne Roscoff &#8211; Plymouth. Pendant ce temps, la construction de son nouveau navire bat son plein et la coque est lanc\u00e9e le 20 juin 1976. Apr\u00e8s ach\u00e8vement, le navire d\u00e9sormais baptis\u00e9 <strong>Cornouailles<\/strong> est livr\u00e9 \u00e0 la <strong>BAI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le 24 mai 1977, <strong>Cornouailles<\/strong> entame sa travers\u00e9e inaugurale entre Roscoff et Plymouth. En mars 1994, <strong>Havelet<\/strong> est introduit sur la ligne Weymouth &#8211; Guernesey (Saint-Pierre-Port) &#8211; Jersey (Saint-H\u00e9lier) qu&rsquo;il op\u00e8re en tandem avec les catamarans rapide de la compagnie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le 29 octobre 1996, <strong>Havelet<\/strong> assure sa derni\u00e8re rotation entre Weymouth et les \u00eeles Anglo-normandes. Avec la mise en service de <strong>Condor Express<\/strong> l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e suivante, <strong>Condor Ferries<\/strong> souhaite en effet se s\u00e9parer de son seul navire conventionnel. En attendant sa livraison, <strong>Condor Ferries<\/strong> r\u00e9arme <strong>Havelet<\/strong> qui est maintenu en r\u00e9serve \u00e0 Weymouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La vente de Havelet en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En novembre 1999, la livraison de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/18\/m-v-commodore-clipper-depuis-1999-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Commodore Clipper (1999) | Brittany Ferries\">Commodore Clipper<\/a><\/strong> permet le d\u00e9sarmement d\u00e9finitif de <strong>Havelet<\/strong>. Le navire est alors mis en vente. Il trouve un acqu\u00e9reur en ao\u00fbt 2000, lorsque Prekookeanska Plovidbla l&rsquo;acquiert pour la compagnie <strong>Mont\u00e9n\u00e9gro Line<\/strong>. Le 25 ao\u00fbt 2000, le navire appareille de Weymouth pour Bijela (Mont\u00e9n\u00e9gro) o\u00f9 il est r\u00e9nov\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Renomm\u00e9 <strong>Sveti Stefan<\/strong>, le navire d\u00e9bute son nouveau service le 17 d\u00e9cembre sur la ligne Bar (Mont\u00e9n\u00e9gro) &#8211; Bari (Italie). <strong>Sveti Stefan<\/strong> assure ce service jusqu&rsquo;au 16 avril 2013, lorsqu&rsquo;il est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme trop \u00e2g\u00e9.
