Apr\u00e8s le rachat de <strong>Truckline<\/strong> par <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\" title=\"Brittany Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1973\">Brittany Ferries<\/a><\/strong>, en 1986, <strong>Coutances<\/strong> sera allong\u00e9 de 25 m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2002, <strong>Coutances<\/strong> adopte la livr\u00e9e de <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> tout en poursuivant son service sur Cherbourg &#8211; Poole. Le service est inaugur\u00e9 en 1973 par le <strong>Poole Antelope<\/strong>, suivi quelques mois apr\u00e8s par le <strong>Dauphin de Cherbourg<\/strong>. Ces deux navires disposent d&rsquo;une capacit\u00e9 de 192 m\u00e8tres lin\u00e9aires. Cependant, au bout de quelques mois d&rsquo;exploitation, les deux navires se r\u00e9v\u00e8lent bien trop petits pour la fr\u00e9quentation de la ligne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e9but 1975, les deux navires pionniers sont donc remplac\u00e9s par l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement de <strong>Cotentin<\/strong> et de <strong>Dorset<\/strong>. Ces deux navires disposant d&rsquo;une capacit\u00e9 de 410 m\u00e8tres lin\u00e9aires et d&rsquo;am\u00e9nagements pour le transport des conducteurs de poids-lourds. Pendant ce temps, <strong>Truckline<\/strong> n\u00e9gocie de nouveaux financements qui permettent de commander deux navires plus capacitaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coutances et Purbeck au service de Cherbourg-Poole<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Coutances<\/strong> est command\u00e9 aux chantiers du Havre, qui lancent sa coque le 30 ao\u00fbt 1977. Apr\u00e8s ach\u00e8vement des travaux, <strong>Coutances<\/strong> est livr\u00e9 en mars 1978 \u00e0 <strong>Truckline<\/strong> qui l&rsquo;introduit sur sa ligne Cherbourg &#8211; Poole avec son sister-ship <strong>Purbeck<\/strong>. Le 19 septembre 1980, <strong>Coutances<\/strong> est victime d&rsquo;une perte de puissance alors qu&rsquo;il man\u0153uvre \u00e0 Poole. En parall\u00e8le, <strong>Coutances<\/strong> et <strong>Purbeck<\/strong> sont envoy\u00e9s \u00e0 tour de r\u00f4le aux chantiers de la Rochelle pour \u00eatre allong\u00e9s de 25 m\u00e8tres, portant leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 800 m\u00e8tres lin\u00e9aires de fret. De plus, <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> introduit <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/19\/m-v-cornouailles-1977-1989-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Cornouailles (1977-1989) \u2013 Brittany Ferries\">Cornouailles<\/a><\/strong> sur la ligne afin d&rsquo;y proposer un service ouvert aux passagers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses tarifs attractifs, la ligne prend rapidement l&rsquo;ascendant sur les op\u00e9rations rivales de Townsend-Thoresen (vers Portsmouth) et Sealink (vers Weymouth). Pour l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 1989, <strong>Truckline<\/strong> remplace <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/19\/m-v-cornouailles-1977-1989-brittany-ferries\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/04\/m-v-barfleur-1992-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Barfleur (1992) | Brittany Ferries\">Barfleur<\/a><\/strong> en 1992 permet le remplacement de <strong>Corbi\u00e8re<\/strong>, <strong>Purbeck<\/strong> et de <strong>Tr\u00e9gastel<\/strong> sur la ligne Cherbourg-Poole. N\u00e9anmoins, <strong>Coutances<\/strong> est conserv\u00e9 en appoint. En 2004, <strong>Coutances<\/strong> est repeint pour adopter les nouvelles couleurs de Brittany Ferries. Ce car\u00e9nage entra\u00eene la disparition de la marque <strong>Truckline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rosa Eugenia au V\u00e9n\u00e9zuela<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2005, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\" title=\"Brittany Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1973\">Brittany Ferries<\/a><\/strong> commande aux chantiers STX <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/04\/m-v-cotentin-2007-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Cotentin (2007) | Brittany Ferries\">un nouveau roulier<\/a> destin\u00e9 \u00e0 remplacer <strong>Coutances<\/strong> sur Cherbourg &#8211;
