De plus, le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/19\/m-v-cornouailles-1977-1989-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Cornouailles (1977-1989) \u2013 Brittany Ferries\">Havelet<\/a><\/strong> est maintenu en conditions op\u00e9rationnelles pour prendre le relais des catamarans \u00e0 grande vitesse en cas d&rsquo;incident ou de mauvaises conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toutefois, ce dispositif co\u00fbte cher et en partenariat avec <strong>Commodore Shipping<\/strong>, <strong>Condor Ferries<\/strong> commande le 3 juillet 1998 aux chantiers Van der Giessen de Noord un navire roulier mixte fret et passager. \u00c0 sa livraison, ce navire assurerait une travers\u00e9e quotidienne entre Weymouth et les \u00eeles Anglo-normandes en remplacement de <strong>Island Commodore<\/strong>. Il transporte ses premiers passagers le 18 octobre 1999. \u00c0 sa mise en service, il arbore les logos de <strong>Commodore<\/strong> (compagnie historique pour le transport de fret vers les \u00celes Anglo-normandes) et de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/condor-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1964\/\" title=\"Condor Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1964\">Condor Ferries<\/a><\/strong>. Photo Breizh Ferries<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les incidents de Commodore Clipper<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le 16 juin 2010, <strong>Commodore Clipper<\/strong> est victime d&rsquo;un d\u00e9part d&rsquo;incendie sur une remorque frigorifi\u00e9e dans son garage. L&rsquo;\u00e9quipage parvint \u00e0 \u00e9teindre l&rsquo;incendie mais celui endommage plusieurs canalisations et faisceaux \u00e9lectriques. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/condor-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1964\/\" title=\"Condor Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1964\">Condor Ferries<\/a><\/strong> est contraint de l&rsquo;immobiliser pour r\u00e9paration jusqu&rsquo;au 4 juillet 2010. Il st \u00e0 nouveau victime d&rsquo;un incendie, cette fois en salle des machines, le 26 avril 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le 14 juillet 2014, <strong>Commodore Clipper<\/strong> s&rsquo;\u00e9choue sur un haut fond peu de temps avant son arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Saint-Pierre-Port. Une enqu\u00eate r\u00e9v\u00e8le que l&rsquo;accident est li\u00e9 \u00e0 un d\u00e9faut de vigilance de son \u00e9quipage. Le navire n\u00e9cessitant des r\u00e9parations, il est immobilis\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;au 16 ao\u00fbt 2024. Il est alors le premier navire \u00e0 arborer la nouvelle identit\u00e9 graphique de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/condor-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1964\/\" title=\"Condor Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1964\">Condor Ferries<\/a><\/strong>.
