L&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement de ce dernier s&rsquo;arr\u00eatait en effet au printemps 2020 alors que son rempla\u00e7ant, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/04\/m-v-galicia-2020-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Galicia (2020) | Brittany Ferries\">Galicia<\/a><\/strong>, n&rsquo;est attendu que pour l&rsquo;automne 2020. Le premier d&rsquo;entre eux, alors d\u00e9nomm\u00e9 <strong>Mersey Viking<\/strong>, est mis en service en 1997 sur une ligne reliant Belfast (Irlande du Nord) \u00e0 Liverpool (Angleterre). En 2025, 30 navires bas\u00e9s sur ce design original ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mis \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Portant le num\u00e9ro de coque 196, la quille du 7\u00e8me navire de la classe <em>Visentini<\/em> est pos\u00e9e le 21 juillet 2000. Le navire est lanc\u00e9 le 8 avril 2001 et livr\u00e9 le 28 septembre 2001 \u00e0 l&rsquo;armateur italien <strong>Levantina Transporti<\/strong>, qui l&rsquo;affr\u00e8te \u00e0 <strong>Caronte &amp; Tourist<\/strong> sous le nom Cartour. Ses propri\u00e9taires le transf\u00e8rent en Indon\u00e9sie. En d\u00e9cembre, il est affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par une compagnie vietnamienne et renomm\u00e9 <strong>Hoa Sen<\/strong>. <strong>Hoa Sen<\/strong> reste en Asie du Sud-Est jusqu&rsquo;en mai 2014, lorsqu&rsquo;il est rachet\u00e9 par <strong>Stena Roro<\/strong> et renomm\u00e9 <strong>Stena Egeria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En juillet 2014, <strong>Stena Egeria<\/strong> est affr\u00e9t\u00e9 pour 3 ans par <strong>Yantai Bohai International Ferry<\/strong>, en vue de servir la ligne Yantai (Chine) &#8211; Pyeongtaek (Cor\u00e9e du Sud). \u00c0 l&rsquo;issue de son affr\u00e8tement en mer de Chine, <strong>Stena Egeria<\/strong> reprend la route de l&rsquo;Europe o\u00f9 il arrive en ao\u00fbt 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En octobre, il est affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par <strong>Adria Ferry<\/strong> qui le renomme <strong>AF Michela<\/strong>. Or, ce dernier devait remplacer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/11\/m-v-baie-de-seine-2015-2020-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Baie de Seine (2015 \u2013 2020) \u2013 Brittany Ferries\">Baie de Seine<\/a><\/strong> \u00e0 compter du printemps 2020, gr\u00e2ce au repositionnement de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/04\/m-v-etretat-2014-2021-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V \u00c9tretat (2014-2021) | Brittany Ferries\">\u00c9tretat<\/a><\/strong> et de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/28\/m-v-normandie-1992-2025-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Normandie (1992-2025) | Brittany Ferries\">Normandie<\/a><\/strong>. Afin de s\u00e9curiser le plan de flotte de l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 2020, <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> annonce donc le 18 juin 2019 l&rsquo;affr\u00e8tement du ferry <strong>AF Michela<\/strong> \u00e0 compter du mois d&rsquo;octobre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 la fin de son service pour <strong>Adria Ferries<\/strong>, le 30 septembre 2019, le navire est directement mis \u00e0 la disposition de <strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\">Brittany Ferries<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> qui le renomme <strong>Kerry<\/strong>. Durant un arr\u00eat technique d&rsquo;une semaine, <strong>Kerry<\/strong> re\u00e7oit une version simplifi\u00e9e de la livr\u00e9e de <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> avant de prendre la mer pour Santander, o\u00f9 il arrive le 16 octobre 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Affr\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 temps avec un \u00e9quipage europ\u00e9en, <strong>Kerry<\/strong> op\u00e8re sa premi\u00e8re travers\u00e9e vers Cork le 31 octobre. Il remplace <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/21\/m-v-connemara-2018-2022-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Connemara (2018-2022) | Brittany Ferries\">Connemara<\/a><\/strong>, r\u00e9-immatricul\u00e9 sous pavillon fran\u00e7ais et transf\u00e9r\u00e9 sur la ligne Cherbourg &#8211; Poole, puis sur Le Havre &#8211; Portsmouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le 29 janvier, <strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\">Brittany Ferries<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> annonce d\u00e9placer la ligne Irlande &#8211; Espagne sur les ports de Rosslare (\u00e0 la place de Cork) et Bilbao (\u00e0 la place de Santander). En effet, si la fr\u00e9quentation des passagers est satisfaisante, les objectifs pour le fret ne sont pas atteints. Rest\u00e9 quelques jours \u00e0 Santander, <strong>Kerry<\/strong> retourne en service d\u00e8s le 24 novembre pour le compte de <strong>DFDS<\/strong>, qui l&rsquo;affecte \u00e0 sa ligne Klaipeda (Lituanie) &#8211; Kiel (Allemagne).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kerry<\/strong> retrouve l&rsquo;Irlande le 29 d\u00e9cembre 2020. <strong>DFDS<\/strong> le d\u00e9ploie en effet sur sa nouvelle ligne Dunkerque &#8211; Rosslare qui permet de contourner le Royaume-Uni pour les marchandises allant des ports de la mer du Nord vers l&rsquo;Irlande. <strong>Kerry<\/strong> op\u00e8re ce service entre le 2 janvier et le 26 septembre 2021. Avant la fin son affr\u00e8tement, le 24 janvier 2022, <strong>Kerry<\/strong> est transf\u00e9r\u00e9 sur la ligne Klaipeda (Lituanie) &#8211; Karlshamn (Su\u00e8de).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kerry<\/strong> int\u00e8gre la flotte de <strong>Balearia<\/strong> le 16 f\u00e9vrier 2022, qui l&rsquo;engage sur sa ligne Valence &#8211; Ibiza (Espagne).
