Il assure sa premi\u00e8re travers\u00e9e le 18 avril 2025. Tout comme son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur en 1992, <strong>Guillaume de Normandie<\/strong> est le deuxi\u00e8me navire neuf \u00e0 rejoindre la compagnie en moins d&rsquo;une ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guillaume de Normandie<\/strong> doit son nom au 7\u00e8me duc de Normandie, qui fut aussi roi d&rsquo;Angleterre sous le nom de Guillaume 1er. Il porte le nom le plus long \u00e0 avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;un des navires de l&rsquo;armement breton. Destin\u00e9 \u00e0 remplacer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/28\/m-v-normandie-1992-2025-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Normandie (1992-2025) | Brittany Ferries\">Normandie<\/a><\/strong>, il serait le premier navire de la compagnie \u00e0 \u00eatre propuls\u00e9 au Gaz Naturel Liqu\u00e9fi\u00e9 (GNL) \u00e0 sa mise en service, pour l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Honfleur<\/strong> est mis \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau le 17 d\u00e9cembre 2018 mais le chantier ne dispose pas des fonds pour achever sa construction. Ses comptes sont en effet grev\u00e9es par les p\u00e9nalit\u00e9s dues \u00e0 <strong>Irish Ferries<\/strong> du fait la livraison retard\u00e9e de <strong>W.B. Yeats<\/strong>. La livraison de <strong>Honfleur<\/strong> est alors repouss\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 2020, avant que <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/29\/brittany-ferries-lhistoire-depuis-1973\/\" title=\"Brittany Ferries | L\u2019histoire depuis 1973\">Brittany Ferries<\/a><\/strong> n&rsquo;annule sa commande de <strong>Honfleur<\/strong> le 17 juin 2020. La compagnie a en effet perdu confiance dans la capacit\u00e9 de <em>FSG<\/em> \u00e0 terminer le navire dans un d\u00e9lai raisonnable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cependant, apr\u00e8s 28 ans de service, <strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/28\/m-v-normandie-1992-2025-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Normandie (1992-2025) | sur la plateforme E-Flexer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <strong>Brittany Ferries<\/strong> annonce la commande \u00e0 <strong>Stena Roro<\/strong> de deux <strong>E-Flexer<\/strong> suppl\u00e9mentaires le 21 juillet 2021. Ces deux ferries sont destin\u00e9s \u00e0 remplacer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/05\/27\/m-v-bretagne\/\" title=\"M\/V Bretagne (1989 \u2013 2024) \u2013 Brittany Ferries\">Bretagne<\/a><\/strong> et <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/28\/m-v-normandie-1992-2025-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Normandie (1992-2025) | Brittany Ferries\">Normandie<\/a><\/strong>. Afin de les op\u00e9rer depuis Saint-Malo et Ouistreham, ces deux navires sont raccourcis \u00e0 194 m\u00e8tres de long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comme <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/04\/m-v-salamanca-depuis-2022-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Salamanca (2022) | Brittany Ferries\">Salamanca<\/a><\/strong> et <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/04\/m-v-santona-depuis-2023-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Santo\u00f1a (2023) | Brittany Ferries\">Santo\u00f1a<\/a><\/strong>, ils sont con\u00e7us pour \u00eatre propuls\u00e9 au GNL. Mais ils s&rsquo;en distinguent par un innovant syst\u00e8me hybride. La quille de <strong>Guillaume de Normandie<\/strong> est pos\u00e9e le 28 septembre 2023 et le navire mis \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau le 12 avril 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guillaume de Normandie <\/strong>est livr\u00e9 \u00e0 Stena Roro le 23 d\u00e9cembre 2024. D\u00e8s le 2 janvier 2025, <strong>Guillaume de Normandie<\/strong> prend la mer vers l&rsquo;Europe. Il arrive \u00e0 Santander le 18 f\u00e9vrier 2025 o\u00f9 il est francis\u00e9 et pr\u00e9par\u00e9 pour sa vue de sa mise en service commerciale, alors que son quasi-sister-ship, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/25\/m-v-saint-malo-depuis-2025-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Saint-Malo (2025) | Brittany Ferries\">Saint-Malo<\/a><\/strong>, est entr\u00e9 en service commercial la semaine pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. <strong>Guillaume de Normandie<\/strong> visite le port de Roscoff le 23 mars 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le 28 mars 2025, <strong>Guillaume de Normandie<\/strong> arrive pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 Ouistreham o\u00f9 il est baptis\u00e9 par la navigatrice britannique Miranda Merron. Pr\u00e9alablement \u00e0 son arriv\u00e9e, deux points d&rsquo;ancrage sont cr\u00e9es sur le port de Ouistreham. <strong>Guillaume de Normandie<\/strong> est en effet 20 m\u00e8tres plus long que <strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/04\/m-v-mont-st-michel-2002-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Mont St Michel (2002) | Brittany Ferries\">Mont St Michel<\/a><\/strong><\/strong>, qui \u00e9tait jusqu&rsquo;alors le plus long navire \u00e0 avoir desservi Ouistreham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guillaume de Normandie<\/strong> r\u00e9alise sa premi\u00e8re travers\u00e9e commerciale le 18 avril 2025, prenant la suite de <strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breizh-ferries.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/28\/m-v-normandie-1992-2025-brittany-ferries\/\" title=\"M\/V Normandie (1992-2025) | Brittany Ferries\">Normandie<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 le premier navire construit neuf pour la ligne Ouistreham &#8211; Portsmouth et qu&rsquo;il a servi durant 33 ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le 24 octobre 2025, <strong>Guillaume de Normandie<\/strong> est victime de la casse de l&rsquo;un de ses r\u00e9ducteurs, alors qu&rsquo;il navigue en direction de Portsmouth.
